Today is the day that Pitchers and Catchers report to Spring Training, the most overhyped day of the year. Who honestly cares about a guy throwing bullpens at 60-75%? We see it all offseason on their Instagram stories and Twitter Post. Plus MLB does an awful job with coverage (as is tradition) so there is no reason whatsoever to get excited about a day like today.
To me, the most exciting part of spring training is the first televised game, that is when things start to get real. Seeing young guys trying to make a name for themselves in the late innings of a split squad, watching them try to reach their dream, that is what gets me going! Not watching guys walk into spring training facilities and throw a flat ground. That shits for the birds.
So anyone who tweets about pitchers and catchers today is a try hard because deep down, if they are really true to themselves, they could not care any less.
